Business for the Environment, the World Business Environment, is the world’s leading conference for dialogue and corporate actions for the environment.
Sponsored jointly by the United Nations Programmed for Environment (UNEP-UNEP), UN Global Compact, WWF, the government is hosting the summit and Global Initiatives, the summit seeks to create multilateral alliances that provide the solutions necessary to answer the challenges resulting from climate change and related environmental issues. The directors and senior executives from leading global companies will join leaders from government, international agencies, NGOs and other organizations in plenary discussions and working groups to share and develop best practices, industry standards and strategies for sustainable growth.
The annual B4E Global Summit is held every year in April in a selected host city, the last summit held in the Seoul, South Korea, and Paris, France and Singapore as previous host. The headquarters of the annual Summit for 2011 will be announced shortly. A special B4E Climate Summit will be held in Mexico City in October 2010, which will release a message from global business leaders to take action on climate change to governments with a view to the COP 16 in Cancun.
