Intensive Niche Media Jobs Feed The Need To Outsource
Advertising jobs are expected to experience little or no change in employment for the next decade. Despite large declines in the number of marketing jobs in general in past years, those were caused mainly by the sharp reduction in the number of advertising agencies and newspaper and periodical publishers, which employ the greatest numbers of advertising jobs employees.
Because advertising is the primary source of revenue for most media jobs outlets, advertising departments are less affected in a downturn. An expected increase in the number of television and radio stations and a sharp increase in the amount of advertising in digital media, such as the Internet and wireless devices has generated a need for media jobs that develop and implement new and innovative advertising programs.
With demand up but budgets cut back, marketing managers will start to rely more on free lance service providers and general out sourcing to develop campaigns in these new pockets of advertising opportunities ranging from sending tweets to recording video. Reason is that the narrow areas of expertise are not conducive to having a full time paid staff position, but you still need the immediate attention to detail that in the past only a single in house employee could provide.
The new wave of media jobs will be outsourced to one and two person companies that do nothing but respond to the immediate needs of the contractor/customer who beckons them and gets responded to in real time.
